Cabin Fever Homecoming Layette

This is a new pattern from Cabin Fever 615 Homecoming Layette
Only took a few days to knit and I really enjoyed the knitting!
Yarn is Patons Astra in a pretty peach using size 5 needles, the construction is top-down- knitting the sleeves before you finish the patterned body section. Of course I had to do-it-my-way and use straight needles for the sleeves, no double pointed for me! The hat comes with the pattern but it's not very visable either on their website or on the actual pattern. I was surprised the lacey pattern wasn't used on the hat but the garter stitch rolled up brim compliments the sweater, don't cha think?

I have another sweater and hat almost done, this one is from Designs by Jeannine. I hope to post a pic tomorrow.

My finger is healing nicely and I'm staying away from sharp objects!

Hi Tina - thank you for comments on my knitting - had to check out yours in return - and am so thrilled with what I found!! You do the nicest, nicest, most gorgeous baby knits!!! Oh I love those patterns - will have to scour ebay and hope the postage from US won't kill me!!! Bernat Softee sounds like it would swatch up to give the same gauge as Aussie 8 ply - using #6 or #7 needles US size - am I right?

I am going to list all the pattern names and try to find them.

Glad your finger is doing fine. Careful next time tho!

Are you on Busy Knitting???

Oh I love your knitting - I am envious!!

with love

Y

I have made 2 of these, one turquoise and one gold, using Cabin Fever's own brand of Cotton Tweed DK. They both turned out really nice. You can see them on my blog, www.knittingdaft.blogspot.com

Nice work with the Astra!
